The following poem accompanies this painting: Secret glens and lofty summits, Guard a trail off beaten limits, To all but the bravest visitor. Climb high into mountain mists, Past gushing springs, through rushing rivulets, To stand transfixed, Gazing at the vista there below, Where dashing waters flow, Then vanish out of sight. These are the Hidden Falls, Glomach’s chasm, Glomach’s might.
